Farewell to IUCN Director, Taholo Kami

Pacific Islands Development Forum, Secretary General presented a farewell gift to Taholo Kami, outgoing Regional Director for IUCN Oceania Regional Office during a farewell function and thanked him for the support given to this young organization since its establishment in 2013.

“We would like to acknowledge your tremendous contribution to the genesis of PIDF – the development of its strategic mission, purpose and function that define the strategic underpinnings and approach to inclusive sustainable development. With your active support, IUCN and PIDF were able to develop strong collaborative and cooperating working arrangements that led to successful Leaders’ Summits and its Charter”, said Secretary General Martel in a letter of gratitude.

“With the IUCN being one of our first partners to recognise the meaningful contribution that PIDF can make to the regional efforts toward achieving inclusive sustainable development and for that PIDF will always be grateful”, it further stated.

PIDF extends its best wishes to Mr. Kami for his future endeavors and we look forward to his ongoing involvement with the PIDF and its members.
