COURTESY CALL FROM MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS, INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION AND EXTERNAL TRADE OF THE REPUBLIC OF VANUATU TO PIDF

The Pacific Islands Development Forum (PIDF) was visited by a delegation from the Republic of Vanuatu led by their Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and External Trade, Honourable Bruno Leingkone on Friday, 3rd March 2016.
The visit was a first for Honourable Bruno Leingkone to PIDF which allowed the PIDF Secretary General, Mr François Martel to provide an overview of the roles and functions of PIDF, of which Vanuatu has been a part of since PIDFs inception.

“We are indeed honoured to have had the opportunity to meet with the visiting delegation from Vanuatu and share our accomplishments and mammoth tasks ahead for which we will need continuous support from our regional country partners,” said Mr Martel.

The Honourable Minister was also presented with a copy of the PIDF Charter and the UN Certificate of Registration for the PIDF Charter.

The visiting delegation acknowledged the courtesy bestowed by the PIDF Secretariat during the meeting.
